DMMC Presents Music Saves – Tuesday, October 19

Join DMMC members, musicians, industry professionals, volunteers, and music fans to learn more about how the DMMC is inspiring a music revival and join the movement. DMMC members and non-members welcome.

We’ll have FREE appetizers, drink specials, a performance by Flatform and the launch of the DMMC’s official member benefits program.

If you’d like to renew your membership or become a new member to help keep Des Moines’ music scene healthy and vibrant, bring $25 to sign up! Invite a friend who values the healing powers of music as well.

Volunteer-managed, the Des Moines Music Coalition is a 503 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to help elevate Central Iowa’s music economy through education, events and festivals and advocacy.

Membership donations received go directly to helping build a bigger and better 80/35 Music Festival as well as help to sustain our event throughout the year like Music University, Little Big Fest (set for Nov. 20th) and Gross Domestic Product.

DMMC Music University on Mars

The DMMC’s free music business education series, Music University will hold a session on Making Money in the Music Industry on Wednesday, June 2 at 6:30pm at Mars Café.

The session will discuss how artists, bands, and labels can leverage the new music business model to make money. Various strategies will be discussed including creative product offerings, providing merch options for multiple levels of fans, finding success with crowdfunding, garnering worthwhile sponsorships, developing licensing opportunities, and many more. Come to network and share ideas!
